License Activation

Your API license key connects the Rhino plugin to your FastRender account.

Find your license key

  1. Log in to fastrender.ai/login
  2. Go to API Key
  3. Copy your license key

Keep your key secure

Your license key is like a password. Don't share it publicly or commit it to public repositories.

Enter your license key

  1. Open Rhino 8
  2. Launch the FastRender panel (Panels → FastRender)
  3. Click the Settings icon (⚙️)
  4. Paste your license key in the API Key field
  5. Click Save or Activate

Troubleshooting activation

"Invalid API Key" error

  • Ensure you copied the entire key without extra spaces
  • Verify you're using the key from the correct account
  • Try generating a new key (see below)

"Connection failed" error

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify api.fastrender.ai is accessible
  • Check if a firewall is blocking the connection

Reset your license key

If your key is compromised or not working:

  1. Go to fastrender.ai/api-key
  2. Click Reset License Key
  3. Confirm the reset
  4. Copy your new key
  5. Enter the new key in the plugin settings

Key reset warning

Resetting your key immediately invalidates the old key. You'll need to update the key in all installations.

Multiple computers

You can use your license key on multiple computers. However:

  • All usage counts toward your monthly credit limit
  • We recommend using one key per user/team member
