Why generation might be slow

Server load

Our AI servers may experience high demand during peak hours, which can increase wait times.

Peak hours (US Pacific Time):

• Weekdays: 9 AM - 5 PM
• Early morning and late evening are typically faster

Solution: If possible, try generating during off-peak hours.

Complex prompts

Longer, more detailed prompts require more AI processing time.

Solution: Start with simpler prompts and add detail as needed.

Large reference images

Uploading large reference images increases upload and processing time.

Solution: Resize reference images to under 2 MB before uploading.

Network connection

A slow or unstable internet connection affects both upload and download speeds.

Solutions:

• Check your internet speed (recommended: 25+ Mbps)
• Try a wired connection instead of WiFi
• Restart your router
• Move closer to your WiFi router

Troubleshooting slow generation

Check your connection

Test your internet speed at speedtest.net. If speeds are low:

1. Restart your router/modem
2. Try a different network
3. Check if other applications are using bandwidth

Simplify your request

Try a basic test generation:

1. Use a simple prompt: "Modern house exterior, sunny day"
2. Don't upload reference images
3. Use default settings

If this generates quickly, gradually add complexity to identify what's slowing down your normal workflow.

Check service status

Visit status.fastrender.ai (if available) or our Discord for any service announcements.

Timeout errors

If generation times out (usually after 2-3 minutes):

Wait and retry

1. Wait 5-10 minutes
2. Try generating again
3. Don't send multiple rapid requests (this can increase queue time)

Contact support

If timeouts persist, contact hello@fastrender.ai with:

• Your account email
• Time of the issue
• What you were trying to generate

Tips for faster generation

1. Use preset prompts — Optimized for quick generation
2. Avoid peak hours — Try early morning or late evening
3. Simplify descriptions — Shorter prompts process faster
4. Optimize reference images — Keep under 2 MB
5. Stable connection — Use wired internet when possible

Generation queue

Requests are processed in order. If many users are generating simultaneously, your request waits in queue.

Credits are NOT deducted for failed or timed-out generations.
